You will never read a marketing book as clear and helpful as this one …

Last week Forbes published a nice article about my book, The CEO’s Guide to Marketing; The book every marketer should read before their boss does. I believe it’s the most helpful marketing book ever written. Since it was published six months ago, it has consistently been on three Amazon best-seller lists: advertising, publicity, and strategic planning. It also won an Axiom book award in advertising/marketing/PR.

I read and watch a lot of material put out by “marketing experts” and I just have to shake my head. Most of it is a waste of time. It’s either so sophomoric there’s nothing to take away or it’s some amped up nut job pretending to be a marketing guru. Yesterday, I was reading a promotion for a guide on how to write a marketing plan. By the way it was explained, I wondered how anyone could be anything other than confused. The price was $675 slashed to only $100. What a deal.

My book is based on a practical and effective six-step marketing process that teams can rally around. I call my six-step process Strategically Aimed Marketing (SAM 6®) and it’s easy to understand and implement.

My book points out that marketers should be just as serious about principles and processes as accountants. And just as CEOs expect their accounting teams to have full command of accounting principles and use efficient processes, CEOs should demand the same from their marketing teams.

I tell CEOs to scan my book when they get it and then go quiz their marketing teams to see what they know. Unfortunately, it won’t be much. Most marketers know a lot less about marketing than they let on and CEOs will find out pretty quickly that most don’t even know basic marketing concepts and principles. Imagine going into your accounting department and finding out no one has bothered to learn basic accounting. In accounting, that’s unthinkable. In marketing, it’s the norm.

If I’m right about how much room there is for improvement in your marketing—and I am—you are missing both sales and the growth created by increased sales.

Here a couple reviews about The CEO’s Guide to Marketing by readers on the Goodreads site:

Joe said, This book was a lot like having a trainer go through a powerpoint with you. Each point, piece, and definition is laid out to be the stepping stone for the next piece. I can totally see using these elements to explain the concepts. This is a great marketing book.

Kimberly said, I was trying to think of something the process left out, but I couldn’t. If you follow this, your team will be well on its way to having a great marketing strategy.

The SAM 6 process is not some fad. The process will work just as good thirty years from now as it does today. A big advantage to following the SAM 6 is it gets your messaging right so every single promotion is on point every single time. When that happens, you can’t help but get more leads, higher sales and develop a stronger brand.

The CEO’s Guide to Marketing is a practical step-by-step marketing book that will appeal to both CEOs and creative teams. You will experience a calm confidence as you integrate the SAM 6 process into your organization. No more confusion about what marketing is or isn’t. Just clarity and the peace of mind that comes from knowing you are doing things right.

The Kindle version of my book sells for under $10, and the hardcover which is 236 pages, full color and about the size and weight of a textbook, sells for under $25. The sooner you get your hands on my book, the quicker your marketing will improve. You can buy today and have it tomorrow on Amazon. So, by next week you can be implementing it and shortly after, seeing results.

I’ve written it as succinctly as I could. I’ve read too many books that waste my time by not getting to the point. They write ten pages when one would do. I’ve also made it bright and colorful so it appeals to creative people like me. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Even though the book is thick and heavy, it can be read in about an hour and a half. But it’s also the kind of book you will refer back to because it’s instructional. It tells you how to do stuff.

I’m confident you will like this book and it will increase your leads and sales for many years. I’d also like to hear what you think of it. You can either write a review or send me a note. Buy a copy and see what you think. Then buy copies for your whole marketing team.

He complains of a stomach ache a lot and I don’t think he likes school much either.”
