Tracking Online Advertising for your New Website

by | Nov 1, 2010 | Advice & Tips

Tracking online advertising for your new website is an easy way to find out which marketing campaigns are working and which aren’t. The great thing about MarketSmart PowerSite packages is that they come with tracking to help determine how effectively your marketing dollars are being spent. It’s important to know how to set up and use tracking tools in Google Analytics when you start advertising with outside sources, so I’ve walked through the process in the video below. I’ll show you how to use simple tracking tools like Google URL Builder and how to link Google Analytics and Google Adwords accounts.

Once you learn where traffic is coming from, you can track just how many sales and leads you are getting from your online marketing campaigns. Besides seeing just the traffic that visited your site from an ad, you can also see how many sales you are actually getting.
