**Publicity Quick Tips**

Find yourself about to give an interview?

A few good rules of thumb during your interview:
1. Smile into the phone or camera while speaking to instantly create a more positive tone in your voice.
2. Focus on 1-3 key messages, and include the Web site and client and/or product by name to provide the reporter’s audience with more information.

3. Don’t wait for the perfect question – find ways to insert your key message into the conversation.
4. Answer questions concisely to be quotable, and make your point quickly.
5. Be naturally expressive, keep your voice strong and confident, and don’t rush – have fun!
