Social Media Trend, Dakota County Business Tribune article features Media Relations and Checkerboard Strategic Web Development

by | May 13, 2010 | Company News, Examples of our Work

Social media gained ground as a tool for marketing and business in 2009, and in 2010 should prove to be no less significant.  Many companies are enthralled by the opportunity to use social technologies to connect with customers, yet many lack a plan or coordinated effort. Companies will try to broadcast a monologue instead of preparing to engage in a dialog.

2010 will reveal more and more businesses, including small businesses, resorting to the aid of social media marketing. According to industry experts, social media will cease being the shiny new object and instead become part of  everyday business.  And that it will no longer be considered a ‘fad’ used by youngsters and movie stars, but a marketing force to be reckoned with.

Media Relations and Checkerboard Strategic Web Development are trail blazers, creating social media plans for clients that initialize dialog.

A recent article in Dakota County Business Tribune featured Jason Kocina, vice president of Checkerboard Strategic Web Development, and Heather Champine, vice president of media production at Media Relations, offering insight into social media trends.
