Your business could share the spotlight, and media excitement, with the Ms. Minnesota Senior Pageant

by | Jan 25, 2011 | Company News

We’ve all heard of Miss America and Miss Universe , but did you know there’s another pageant that honors women who’ve reached the age of elegance?

For the past 30 years another pageant has been quietly emerging: Ms. Senior America , where the age requirement is 60 plus and the contestants are ready to be heard.

These amazing women of distinction represent 33 states including Minnesota and the US Virgin Islands. They are redefining aging as a prime time of life.

For Bloomington Minnesota resident, and 2009 reigning state queen, Mary Lou Phipps, the third time was a charm.  Phipps started on the road in 2006 when a friend in a tap dancing class encouraged her to apply for the Ms. Senior Missouri Pageant.

Later that year she moved to Minnesota. She applied for the Ms. Minnesota Senior 2009 pageant and won the title at the popular, Seniors Spring Show, (now renamed after its eighth year to Spring 50+ PrimeTime Living Expo). Three weeks later, she traveled to Atlantic City where she won a spot as a top ten finalist.

Phipps has enjoyed the spotlight for 2 years, including various TV, print, and radio spots. Minnesota Sun Current Bloomington Edition recently featured Mary Lou in its January 20 edition.

In addition to the large crowds attending the pageant in April, the reigning queen, Ms. Minnesota Senior, generates media interest thorughout the year. This is an excellent  partnership opportunity for your prime time product or service targeting the seniors market. Our marketing partnerships can often generate media coverage that might otherwise not have been available.
