Jennifer Hanson
Media Relations
Senior Publicist
We can’t help but have a great time when Jennifer is around. She’s full of life, fun and completely adaptable. She is one of our most enthusiastic publicists. Her genuineness and persistence pay off. She’s booked clients with the Today Show, USA Weekend and Oprah, so there’s no doubting her professionalism. If she’s unfamiliar with a subject, she’s determined to become an expert.
Jennifer’s goal is to help clients increase their sales. “Media coverage can get a lot of people talking about your product or service,” she explains. “Your competition is out there. Why not get ahead of them, and be the one people are talking about?”
Energetic and outgoing, Jennifer easily builds relationships with reporters and producers. It’s a career for which she feels well suited. “You have to have a passion for the media. There is a lot of behind-the-scenes work that goes on before you actually see the finished story. I focus on being creative when pitching the different media outlets. You have to be an out-of-the-box thinker in this business.”
Clients also appreciate Jennifer’s tenacity. “If one media turns me down, there are more I can work with.” Jennifer pours herself into each project. She knows that the media is always changing, and she’s got to keep up with those trends. But her positive attitude is often the tipping point for arranging media coverage: “If I’m not excited about the story I’m pitching, neither is the media,” she says with a smile.
