Creative angle leads to feature article in a Twin Cities newspaper

feature article

We’re thrilled any time we arrange for a major newspaper to run an extensive feature article with multiple large photographs. This feature article in the Star Tribune was especially gratifying because it was about something seldom covered on the mainstream pages: A megachurch.

Despite the subject matter, stories such as this don’t just miraculously happen. This came about after I picked up the phone to pitch the story angle to the regional editor. He loved the idea, and immediately assigned a writer. The resulting article communicated much of the client’s messaging. Of course, that’s exactly what we wanted.

Some agencies may try for coverage using wire services … the “wing and a prayer” approach. We prefer to also insert our 30-plus years of PR and marketing savvy into the mix.
