In this article

My staff at Media Relations Agency has come up with 17 tips to make you look like a media pro. Hopefully they will help you feel confident and prepared when the spotlight shines on you.

    Tip 5: Turn Off Call-Waiting

During a telephone interview, choose a quiet, out-of-the-way area. It’s also important to turn off the call-waiting feature on your phone, or simply dial *70 before the call. Ask your operator if you have any further questions.

Example An interviewee forgot to turn off call waiting. While he was still on the air, friends who heard the interview began calling him. The clicking was constantly interrupting his conversation with the the host, resulting in a poor interview.
