Driving a Digital Win for GolfPsych with a Smart Website Redesign and Strategic Marketing Campaigns
GolfPsych is a unique business that offers golf psychology training to competitive golfers. They offer weekend golf schools and coaching based on their own research, as well as a large blog filled with great golfing tips.
GolfPsych was looking for an improved website that was able to integrate with their ColdFusion development platform, and also wanted technical improvements to their site to would help it run more efficiently and rank better in search.
After creating a new site, it was important that we continued with digital marketing assistance to help expand the reach of their brand through marketing and SEO.

Our Approach
WordPress Development: We developed a WordPress site that is unique, easy for users to navigate, and full of features. We integrated the forms on the site with the ColdFusion system that GolfPsych uses, making it easier than ever for them to manage their users. The site was also developed with eCommerce capability, and effectively communicates their expertise in sports psychology.
Digital Advertising: We have run a large number of Facebook and Google ad campaigns for GolfPsych, helping them connect with customers when they’re most likely to convert. From planning to audience creation to writing ad content, we manage the entire campaign in order to make the process as easy as possible. This gives GolfPsych a steady stream of leads coming in as well as an increased audience for blog posts.
Responsive Web Design: We designed a site that looks great on every device and screen resolution. Users have a positive experience regardless of whether they’re looking for mental game tips on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. This future-proof new design will help GolfPsych stand out in their industry as a reputable source, and allows their users to access the site wherever they might be, such as on a golf course.
Digital Marketing Assistance: Since the site launch, we’ve worked further with GolfPsych on a variety of projects to improve their search rankings and add new features to their website. These include a program to perform additional optimization on the site, as well as continued assistance if problems arise. Some of the projects have also been large scale such as introducing a new online coaching system.
Content Marketing: GolfPsych produces a lot of high-quality content, and we’ve helped refine the content by adding a call-to-action and cross testing different language to increase conversions. When we write content, it uses their expertise in the most relevant, informative and effective ways possible.
The Results
The rebuilt GolfPsych website features a modern and responsive design, and is complete with a custom ColdFusion integration and eCommerce capabilities. The improved design was matched with optimized content and an effective marketing campaign, helping the site be found by more people and increase lead generation.
Our targeted advertising campaigns also helped reach new customers, while the site optimization helped them get found organically by a large number of relevant keywords. Through our initial site build and subsequent digital marketing projects, GolfPsych has been able to greatly expand its online presence.
Technical improvements
The website redesign includes an optimized theme that is technically sound, easy to index and fully responsive. Using an effective SEO report card, we found that GolfPsych originally had a site score of 63, which was comparable to its competitors. Soon after launching the new website and beginning additional optimization, the SEO report card site score reached 100.The site score is calculated based on key ranking factors in the following categories: Primary keyword ranking, backlinks, site coding, website accessibility, trust metrics, and index-ability.
In the first nine months after completing the first phase of this project, GolfPsych saw a tremendous exposure increase. While traffic rose, there was also a big increase in other social and search metrics. Our social media strategy helped increase the size of their audience dramatically, while content marketing helped improve the number of backlinks and keywords they were ranking for.
