Business owner sings our praises for our PR work and its ripple effect on his business

by | Jun 26, 2012 | Company News

We are having a lot of fun talking with reporters and producers about Terry Derosier, a local businessman who sings his own radio jingles in addition to running an incredibly upstanding and successful company. We were thrilled to get this feedback from him:

I want to tell you how pleased and thrilled I am with the publicity work that Lindsay and Heather have been doing for me at Media Relations. First they collaborated on having an entertaining and engaging story written about me and how I do the singing for the Window World commercials. Then as a complete surprise, our family was nominated for MN Family Business of the Year. As of late, I have been bombarded with multiple radio and TV interviews asking for my expert opinion on recognizing storm damage. Even our friends are talking about it. Recently my wife attended a ladies neighborhood party only to constantly hear everyone talking about seeing “Terry on KARE 11.” Her friends thought that I appeared very knowledgeable and professional. They were impressed that I was interviewed because “They just don’t let anyone on TV. You have to be knowledgeable, articulate and respected in your field.” Needless to say, it’s through your magnificent publicity work at Media Relations that I have been able to gain opportunities that build this priceless stature and notoriety. I have also been pleasantly surprised with the publicity mileage I’ve received for a modest investment. It’s a pleasure working with your company. Thank you for your diligent and impressive work!

Heather is a multi-faceted leader. She’s part marketing strategist, part consumer psychologist and part motivational cheerleader. “I love understanding what drives people to take action, especially when it involves getting the media to run stories about our clients,” she says. With more than 25 years of experience, she has the keen understanding and insight to know how to run an integrated campaign and what it takes for our clients’ stories to become the news. She enjoys leading campaigns for complex industries such as medical devices and technologies, as well as fun industries such as hair salons. She thrives on pursuing creative ways to educate consumers about clients’ products, and ultimately inspiring them to buy. “I appreciate becoming a part of each client’s marketing team. I cherish the long-lasting relationships, and successful marketing programs we have created together.” Heather also finds joy in her daily collaborations as part of our creative team. “I am grateful to work with publicists, writers, designers and other marketing experts, all enjoying what they do because they are using their God-given strengths. Our publicists have great instincts because they all have media backgrounds. When things get hectic, it’s often Heather who cracks the first joke. “We encourage people to be a little goofy and unique. Some of the best ideas and solutions emerge because we know how to have fun,” she grins. “I may say something like, “Remember this is PR not the ER. Now, lighten up and go book a great story idea with the media!”
