    My staff at Media Relations Agency has come up with 17 tips to make you look like a media pro. Hopefully they will help you feel confident and prepared when the spotlight shines on you.

    Tip 7: Always Expect the Unexpected

    Once in a while, the host likes to get creative and ask a question you’ve never heard before. Don’t let it shake you. If you have a sense of humor, these questions can often be turned around to your advantage.

    Example One television anchor asked a decorating expert, “So, you have an orange carpet and purple walls – what do you do?” A good response would have been, “Well, at XYZ Wallcoverings, we believe that you should decorate your home the way you want to. However, the easiest way to change the look of your room is with wallpaper because…”

    If you can stay calm and have fun with your answers, you will come off looking good and credible.
