Last Sunday I was in Home Depot when I heard something that stopped me in my tracks. You'll find this interesting if you are looking for a way to increase sales this coming year. As I was walking along, I overheard a clerk explaining to a customer why they were all sold out of a product. It was a one-sided conversation that went like this: "We're all sold out of those. Yeah, everybody has been in here asking for them. For months they sat on the shelf and no one bought them, but they have been getting all that publicity lately and now we're sold out and can't get any more. Sorry."
